What is a Ministers Delegate - Maintenance? |
An MDM is some one who has been delegated by the Minister of Transport to issue a Certificate of
Airworthiness, Certificate of Airworthiness - Restricted or an Export Airworthiness Certificate on behalf of
Transport Canada. |
What is the first step in importing an aircraft? |
Contact your MDM. He will ensure that the aircraft is eligible for importation and write a
letter stating such. This will allow you to get a Certificate of Registration for your aircraft. |
How long does it take to import or export an aircraft? |
Depending on how complete your import or export package is it may take as little as two days.
If the package is incomplete eg. unapproved modifications, AWD’s not complied with, incomplete weight and balance
reports, it may take several weeks. |
What is the cost range to export or import an aircraft? |
Pricing depends on aircraft weight and complexity. Please call for current schedule. |
What types of aircraft can ASP import or export |
ASP Aviation Services can issue Certificates of Airworthiness for aircraft
certified under CAR 523 and 525 or FAA regulations Part 23 and 25. We can
also provide Certificates of Airworthiness - Restricted and Export
Certificates of Airworthiness for aircraft certified under CAR 523 or Part
23 of the FAA FARs.
